International Lobby (Receptions)
The Entrance to the Business Vision Center is named in honor
of Phil Phillips, former Ambassador to the Eastern Caribbean and
Chairman of the Board of Directors of the High Point Chamber of
Commerce in 1977.
The International Lobby recognizes all those who contributed to
the construction of the Business Vision Center and honors Zaki
Uddin Khalifa who presented the building to the Chamber in 2004.
Receptions honoring dignitaries and delegations from countries
throughout the world have been held in this location.
The international flags atop the Lobby represent nations with a
permanent business presence in the Chamber of Commerce and in
High Point. The High Point Chamber of Commerce honors more than
70 international businesses from 19 different countries and each
year during the High Point Market, furniture leaders from over
100 countries come to High Point. The High Point Chamber of
Commerce also recognizes these businesses as being a vital part
of making High Point, “North Carolina’s International City”. |

The Chamber of Commerce acknowledges the help of the High Point
Economic Development Corporation, which assembled the listing of
nations and business firms. |
