Championing powerful careers in our community.

The future of High Point’s workforce depends upon the creation of jobs and learning opportunities within our city. Business High Point-Chamber of Commerce works in partnership with industry partners to empower our workforce to grow and stay here in High Point.

How we support workforce development:

Guilford Apprenticeship Partners (GAP)

Businesses in many sectors employ an aging workforce and struggle to locate the next generation of skilled talent. Providing opportunities for rising high school seniors and recent graduates to further their education and obtain paid work experience, GAP not only gives students an opportunity to receive free college, a paycheck and a full-time position post graduation – this partnership helps our Members identify future employees and leaders and grow their workforce.

Triad Workforce Solutions Collaborative

Triad Workforce Solutions Collaborative (TWSC) is a program founded by the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro and the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with Business High Point-Chamber of Commerce.

Joining business leaders, educators, workforce development service providers, and donors, TWSC supports and accelerates talent development in our community.

TWSC is one of the 35 regional collaborative initiatives for the National Fund for Workforce Solutions, a national network promoting economic opportunity and prosperous communities through investment and innovation.

Workforce Partnerships

Business High Point-Chamber of Commerce is proud to partner with organizations like Guilford Technical Community College, the Guilford County Workforce Development Board and the NC Department of Commerce to supply our Members with the support and resources they need to grow their businesses and careers here in High Point.

For more information about our workforce partners, contact Brian Norris (brian@bhpchamber.org), VP-Strategic Initiatives.

Eastern Triad Workforce Initiative

Eastern Triad Workforce Initiative is a business-led, 6-10 year public-private partnership pilot between 25 workforce development agencies in Alamance, Guilford, Randolph, and Rockingham Counties, which are creating and expanding workforce development programming to build a reliable pipeline of skilled workers.

Let's stay connected.
